Hair care practices can also damage hair, but there are steps to take to keep your hair silky.
Do not comb wet hair
Hair is weakest when wet, so you should not use force on your scalp. If your hair gets too tangled, use a wide tooth comb to gently comb the ends of your hair.
Use a towel before a dryer
Drying very wet hair with a hair dryer both wastes time and energy, and doesn't improve its beauty. First dry your hair with a towel, only using a hair dryer afterwards. To dry your hair quickly, dry the roots first, then the middle and the ends.
Tie your hair before bed
Tying your hair before you go to bed helps reduce the friction between your hair and the pillow. The friction causes a buildup of static electricity, weakening your hair and making it easily breakable.
Apple cider vinegar
Add 2-3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, one tablespoon of olive oil and one tablespoon of lemon juice to a glass of warm water. Mix this mixture well and then apply it to your scalp. Wrap a big towel around your head for about 10-15 minutes. Then rinse your hair with warm water. Employ this method once or twice a week to prevent dandruff and make hair softer and smoother.
Olive oil hair mask
After shampooing, apply a small amount of olive oil to the ends of the hair, leave it for 10 minutes and then rinse your hair thoroughly. Olive oil is rich in antioxidants and natural nutrients, making hair shiny and softer.
Hair cream or conditioner
Give your hair one or two home treatments a week by applying hair cream or conditioner, wearing a hair cap for about an hour, and then rinsing it.
Use hair treatment sprays after shampooing to moisturise your hair better, to soften it and prevent breakage.
