ASX hits skids after seven days of gains

The Australian share markets seven-day winning streak is over, with losses in nearly every sector

    The Australian share market has suffered its first losing session in eight days, with nearly every sector down.
    The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index closed down 52.2 points, or 0.83 per cent, to 6,232.8 points at 1615 AEDT on Thursday, while the broader All Ordinaries was down 48.3 points, or 0.76 per cent, to 6,320.4.

    The Aussie dollar is buying 71.12 US cents, from 71.07 US cents on Wednesday.
