Sesame oil is recommended for flavour, but if anyone in your family is allergic to sesame, any light vegetable oil or cold pressed extra virgin olive oil will do.
1 litre of chicken soup
1 garlic clove
1 cm knob of ginger
5-6 spring onions
1 tsp soy sauce
4-5 drops of sesame oil
1 pack of frozen wontons
coriander to taste
Pour the chicken stock into a large pot, and heat on medium.
Crush the garlic clove and grate the ginger, then add them to the stock.
Add the spring onions, finely chopped.
Add the wontons, soy sauce and sesame oil.
Bring to the boil.
Simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the wontons are soft.
Add in the coriander when serving.
