Afraid to carry too much when travelling, people are often ready to leave their cosmetics at home. However, this is wrong thinking. You may have beautiful skin, but if you neglect it for even a few days, your looks will suffer.

When travelling, you engage in more activities than usual, putting your skin at risk. To avoid this, there are at least five cosmetic items to pack.

    Sunscreen

Applying sunscreen helps protect your skin from UVA or UVB rays. Apply the cream after completing your skin care routine, before putting on make-up, and about 20 minutes before going out. If you are using chemical sunscreen, reapply after every two hours.

    Make-up remover

Even if you do not wear makeup and only apply sunscreen, using make-up remover is a necessary step. Sunscreen left too long on the face clogs the pores, causing acne. If you don't want to invest too much in make-up removers, just buy a bottle of Micellar Water.

For people who like to wear make-up, removing it is very important. Dust, sweat and sunlight damages skin. You should thoroughly clean your face with make-up remover so that applying skin care products or make-up has positive results.

    Facial cleanser

Double Cleansing has become extremely popular in recent years. After using make-up remover, apply facial cleanser as well. This will completely clean your skin and unblock the pores.

Only buy facial cleansers with a pH of no more than 6 to protect the skin. If you use a product with a pH of 6.5 or higher, your skin will lose its inherent moisture and produce a lot of oil. You can check for pH with litmus paper.

    Moisturiser

Moisturising the skin is also crucial, because it will be dehydrated and lacking in moisture after a long day. Inadequate care can lead to dry and cracked skin.

If you have oily skin, look for a moisturiser with a gel texture and quick absorption, or a light and liquid moisturiser. If you have dry skin, you need a more solid moisturiser.

    Lip balm with SPF

Travelling makes you susceptible to dark and dry lips, due to long exposure to sunlight. With a lip balm with an SPF of 10 to 30 in your bag, you will not have to worry about this problem any more.
