    Not enough water

Every day, our body needs 1.5 to 2 litres of water. Because office work doesn't look strenuous, you might think your body needs less water, but this is not so. If we do not drink enough water, our body’s metabolism and kidney functions will be weakened. This happens because the cells are short of water, and less able to remove toxins from the body.

    Poor eating habits

Office workers often have to race against time due to increasingly demanding jobs. Many people skip breakfast in the morning and spend very little time for lunch. This puts them at risk of stomach disease. Not eating well can also cause dizziness and lack of alertness.

    Using the headset too much

Some workers have to wear a headset to concentrate better, or as part of the job. However, too much headset use can cause hearing loss in the long run. Also, the distance sounds are transmitted through the headset will affect the auditory nerve and increase the risk of deafness and subsequent hearing loss.

Spending too much time in an air-conditioned room makes office workers very susceptible to respiratory diseases, headache, rhinitis, flu, and dry skin. In summer, going out into the heat after sitting in an air-conditioned room for hours raises the risk of “thermal shock”. Make a regular time to stand up for some brief exercise to avoid these health risks.

    Holding it in

Being busy with work, people often refrain from urinating while they complete some remaining unfinished task. If this only happens a few times, there will not be too many serious problems. However, if it is a frequent habit, you risk damaging the sphincter and causing urinary tract infections, bladder infections, and other problems. This habit can even ruin the sphincter in time, making the muscles less elastic, resulting in urinary incontinence.
